French national team and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé opened up about what it means to him to represent his country on the international stage.
“There’s nothing better than representing your country. You become part of the elite group of international footballers. It’s hard to be in a situation like ours, where everyone expects miracles from us. But miracles only happen on the pitch; you don’t need to play the match before the match,” Mbappé told AS.
The 26-year-old has made 96 appearances for France, scoring 56 goals. He made his senior international debut in March 2017 during a 2018 World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg, which France won 3-1.
