Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has provided an update on the fitness of Spanish midfielder Rodri and Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov ahead of the Premier League clash with Crystal Palace. The club’s official website quoted the coach’s comments on Tuesday.

City are chasing league leaders Arsenal, who have played one more game, trailing by five points. On Wednesday, they host Crystal Palace in a rescheduled Premier League fixture from Matchday 31. A win would see City draw level with Arsenal on matches played and cut the gap to just two points.

When asked about Rodri and Khusanov, both recovering from injuries, Guardiola said: “Rodri is improving. We will check his condition in training this afternoon.” Regarding Khusanov, he added: “He’s getting better. He took a heavy tackle in the Everton game, but now he is recovering.” Both players could be available to face Palace.
