After three weeks of negotiations, head coach Steve Kerr has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Golden State Warriors, keeping him at the helm for his 13th season and beyond. The new deal secures Kerr’s status as the highest-paid coach in the NBA, following his reported earnings of $17.5 million last season.
The Warriors failed to advance past the play-in tournament in the Western Conference this season. Kerr will now focus on rebuilding the roster for the upcoming campaign, with reports indicating he is keen to acquire superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
